Little Landscapes

"I am inspired by my everyday environment and enjoy painting the flat horizons found along the coastal plains and farmlands. I capture my surroundings by photographs and by memory, and when I'm in the studio creating, I seek to stay open-minded to the changes and evolution natural to the painting materials themselves. To add the ritual of hand-stitching to my landscape paintings personally elevates them to a more sacred and precious level, as does the miniature hand-held scale."
