Media: embroidery floss, oil, antique paper doll dress, and glitter on an appropriated landscape painting.

A "Dis-dressing Landscape" is an altered
traditional oil painting, on which I hand-stitched an antique paper doll dress.
This work was inspired by an article I read by Judith H. Dobrzynski,
Smithsonian.com, July 20, 2010, titled: 'The Grand Women Artist s of the Hudson
River School.' The article brought to my attention the forgotten female Hudson
River School painters from America's mid-19th century.
