I have a passion for creating using fabric and hand stitching. One of my most recent soft sculpture series consists of Sea Stars. I love the star form (if you have not noticed in my collages), and one morning, while gazing out on the bay and enjoying my morning cup of tea, the idea occurred to me to sew a star fish. The symbolism linked to the Sea Star I also find interesting: "safe travel over troubled waters, an emblem of salvation during trying times, infinite and divine love, guidance, vigilance, inspiration, brilliance, and intuition."
